Never one to shy away from too many projects on the go, I busted out some scraps yesterday to see about making my own little flower brooches. The prototype I made wasn't what I was hoping for, so I modified the design a little and made this little pink and green one. It needs a better button for the center and maybe some sparkly bits on the petals, but it's a cute start I think. I'll eventually pick up one of Magpie's originals, I just need to find one first. girlshop doesn't seem to be carrying them anymore.

Very cute! I can totally see a round rhinestone-y button on that one. You know -- the kind that pooges out (like half a sphere)? There's gotta be a name for a button like that but I haven't a clue,...!
