If you've checked out my list, you'll know that I love sushi (#71 & 72). I used to eat it for lunch every day in Vancouver. It got so that the owner of the little sushi bar I used to frequent would ask my coworkers where I was if I skipped a day. "She sick? She eat at desk? She come back?" They knew my order by heart and I'd get to skip the line when it was really busy. Apparently they were quite sad when I left.
Sushi bars aren't quite so ubiquitous here. Austin is more about tacos. We're not exactly near the ocean, so I'm not surprised. I jumped with glee when this little bar opened though (really - I have a witness). Our local HEB has devoted a teeny little section of the supermarket to my fave food. Granted, it's supermarket sushi, but it means that every time I go grocery shopping I know I get to have unagi when I get home. Yum!
Sushi made it to my 100 things list too, yum! I agree, supermarket sushi isn't nearly is good, but it still is better than nothing.

When my daughter comes home from Edmonton sushi is the first thing she wants. We usually hit Sushi Man shortly after the airport.

Mmm, sushi. I think the reason I stayed in Whistler so long was the Ahi Poke at Sushi Village ....

MUSASHINO has really good Japanese food. We sometimes drive all the way from San Antonio just to eat there.
