I ripped out the multidirectional scarf in Kureyon #124 that I'd started a while back and whipped together another Sophie (this pic is pre-felting). For some reason when I started it, I thought I only had one skein. In an effort to save the yummy Noro striped bits for the body of the bag, I used some black Cascade 220 on the bottom. 2 nights ago I woke up around 2am and said aloud, "I'm such a dummy! Of course I bought 2 skeins of Kureyon. duuuuuuuuuh!" The husband turned and squinted at me with one eye, "Uh, yeah. Whatever. Go to sleep." Guess he didn't care so much.
While Sophie discos in the washing machine, I've spent a little time surfing around for crafty inspiration. One link leads to another and there it is. Brilliance. I love love LOVE these little clocks by Yoshitomo Nara. Incredible genius. I'd love to have an original, but they're going for $150-$200 on eBay. A tad out of my price range. I do however have a Goodwill nearby with a bzillion $2 flip clocks, a few great links to some retro clip art (via craftster) and a decent printer. I might try my hand at putting together a cheap knockoff this week. They'd be fun Xmas presents if I can get them to work.
Your Sophie looks great! My husband would not have been happy with me at all if I woke him up with a knitting revelation. He would have tried to keep me quiet with the pillows!
