I finished up the Koigu Multidirectional Scarf last night. It took one full skein of Koigu KPPPM (p622) knit on US size 7's. No wait, that's a lie. The last decreasing triangle came off the next skein. I'd planned well, but not perfectly. She'll get bundled up tonight to get mailed off to Vancouver as a birthday present. The only requirement was to "knit something pretty" and I think it fits the bill.
I cast on for the summer poncho in the Schachenmayr Aurora Color that's been kicking around in my stash box. I bought it on sale a few months back from Elann. At the time I'd knit up a couple swatches for various things, but I wasn't really happy with any of them. This morning I decided that if it didn't suit a poncho, it would find it's way onto eBay tomorrow. So far so good. It looks kinda small on the needles, but it stretches out nicely.
Hi!
Found your blog for the first time after joining the RAOK web ring today. I LOVE the multidirectional scarf in Koigu! I did one a while back and am thinking about whipping out a bunch for Christmas gifts...so I was wondering - how many stitches did you cast on for your Koigu version? If it can be squeezed out of one skein (more or less), I may have to do some in Koigu!
Take care,
Michelle
