I guess so! Happy Blogiversary to me! The first splityarn post went up April 23rd, 2004. (What was up with all the teeny pictures when I first started? Was I crazy?)
3 years of doing anything requires a celebration and what better than to take a knitting class from the genius behind Knitty. Friday morning I cruised up to Hill Country Weavers to take the No Sheep For You class from the master of non-animal fibres herself, Amy Singer. I admit I blushed when in the middle of her introduction Amy turned and said, "hey! You're Caro! Hi!" It was the perfect blogiversary punctuation point. All in all, great class, great teacher, great book, great fun. Thanks Amy!
I went in knowing that I would most likely buy yarn, but I may have convinced myself to splurge on some silk and seacell fibre after fondling Amy's gorgeous Lacewings. I may also have already cast on for a Swallowtail with it. I may also be LOVING it. I'm going to Boston this week, so with some airplane knitting and some luck, I could be finished by the time I get back.
