The BonBon scarf for my niece is finished. It's so soft, I can't stop petting it. I almost want one for myself (you won't catch me in pastels like this though, it would have to be red, pink and black.) I'm pretty sure it's perfect for a little girl turning 5. The little tufts of pink and purple knit up so that they look like flowers. I didn't use the whole ball, I still have about 1/3 left. I'll have to see what else I can put together with it. The little poufs weren't as annoying as I'd originally anticipated. I tried to just forget about them while knitting, otherwise I'd have driven myself insane. Occasionally I had to pick them out from underneath a stitch or two, but overall it wasn't too bad.
I decided that I need a scarf for myself, even though I don't really have much call for wearing one in Austin. I'm more likely to wear a scarf here in lieu of taking a coat. Let's hear it for warmer winters! This weekend I started another Multidirectional scarf, this time in Noro Kureyon #124. I LOVE the colours but I don't like how it's knitting up. The fabric is a bit too stiff. I'm going to rip it and try it on a larger needle size and see if it's any better. If not, I'll have to find a similar colourway in the Silk Garden.

Love the BonBon scarf. Is there a pattern? I saw the yarn at my LYS, but I wasn't sure about a pattern. I think I may try it for my pink-crazed four-year-old niece.

Wow! That Bon Bon sure did knit up beautifully. I bet my (almost) 4 yr. old would love a scarf like that. Although she likes blue and purple better than pink. I'll have to look for that yarn!

Try washing the Kureyon - it softens up a lot after washing :)
