After yesterday's debacle with the 70's shag, I elected to cast on for the bottom's up bucket to match Sophie. I picked up the pretty pink swatch that I'd knit on the plane, determined my gauge for the felted version and off I went. I knit up the brim before we went out for a few beers knowing that I could probably finish it up today before tackling the 70s shag problem.
This morning as I was switching colours for the first black stripe, a thought occurred to me. I didn't take any of the pretty pink Cascade 220 on the plane. I took the pretty pink Cotton Ease! I'm knitting this felted hat too small! I should be knitting this with 10.5's, not 7s! ARGH!
Instead of the Gigantor that I knit before, I was now knitting Anti-Gigantor. The teeniest adult hat ever.
Amendment to yesterday's rules: Don't KNIT with a cold. Ever.
If anyone needs me, I'll be in the corner, quietly frogging all the knitting I did in the last 2 days.
